2nd Consortium meeting in Aachen, Germany

June 2023

On June 6 - 7, 2023, the CARBON4MINERALS consortium assembled for their second meeting, hosted by our esteemed partners at RWTH Aachen University in the city of Aachen, Germany. This two-day event proved to be a great occasion for in-depth discussions, collaborative planning, and networking.

The meeting began at the Institute of Building Materials Research, where all partners were warmly welcomed by both the coordinator and the hosts. The day unfolded with presentations from each partner, who shared updates on their progress, detailed their contributions to the project, and discussed their future steps.

The midday break offered a chance for informal networking over a delightful lunch. Partners seized this opportunity to further their discussions and brainstorm new ideas.

The day’s agenda concluded with an engaging Exploitation workshop. This session was dedicated to exploring strategies for maximizing the impact of the project’s outcomes and contemplating potential future collaborations, setting the stage for the project’s ongoing success. As the day drew to a close, the consortium members gathered for dinner at a restaurant in Aachen’s city centre.

The second day centred on the crucial topics of communication and dissemination of the project’s progress and impact. The consortium coordinator presented an overview of the overall project management, outlining the next steps and planned work to ensure the project remains on track. The meeting concluded with a final discussion session, allowing participants to address any outstanding issues and refine their strategies moving forward. A highlight of the day was a tour of the university’s state-of-the-art lab facilities. Check out the gallery below to relive some of the memorable moments from this productive meeting.
