The 41st International Conference and Exhibition of ICSOBA

Our partner, David Konlechner from KON Chemical Solutions, recently took part in the 41st International Conference and Exhibition of ICSOBA in Dubai from November 5-9. With a remarkable turnout of 550 attendees from industrial research, universities and high-level management, the conference delved deep into critical aspects of the Alumina and Aluminium industry.

A standout observation was the constitution of The Travaux (the collection of all the ICSOBA publications) of this year boasts a substantial 1888 pages, reflecting a significant increase from last year's 1322 pages. This points to the wealth of insights explored in the past year, tackling crucial challenges faced by the industry. David highlighted the pressing issue of CO₂ in the industry, emphasizing the several challenges faced in creating green products.

The conference was a melting pot of ideas, focusing on key issues such as sustainability, decarbonization, energy challenges, bauxite deposits, and more.
