MAGFORUM 2023

Thank you to our partners KON-CHEM for presenting our project at the MAGFORUM 2023!

 The magnesia and especially the refractory industry uses traditionally magnesite as feed material for their processes. Magnesite contains by mass more CO₂ than the actual product MgO, so emissions are critical within this sector.

David Konlechner, one of our esteemed members, shared valuable insights during his presentation, pointing out one possible way to put the CO₂ ghost back into the bottle or, in this case, into the stone. Interesting discussions took place, and it was possible to generate some awareness for the Carbon4Minerals technologies in the magnesia industry and also get essential inputs for the sector regarding what they really need.
