Introducing TCKI
Introducing Carbon4Minerals consortium member - TCKI.
TCKI has 35 employees and is an independent, supporting knowledge institute that serves the manufacturing industry of ceramics and other building materials, predominantly in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Denmark and the UK.
The support covers the full range of technical and technological aspects of business operations and includes, among other things, research and analysis of raw materials and end products, (energetic) optimization of processes and the performance of process measurements in the context of quality, occupational health and safety, the environment and energy-efficiency.
In addition, TCKI is often represented in the board of experts involved in the development of various national and European standards applicable to building materials and related applications.
Role in the project
In Carbon4Minerals, TCKI is involved in the design and construction of an installation for the pre-treatment (cleaning and cooling) of flue gases from VDS and AM, and with it provides coupling between the CO2 capture pilots and the industrial sites they are placed at. The main purpose of cleaning the flue gases is to enable the capture of CO2 from the flue gases and to increase the efficiency as much as possible.
In addition to this, TCKI also provides a complete characterization of the flue gases and provides measurements/monitoring of the flue gas composition in relation to process efficiency during pilot operation.
