Leader of the WP3: Low carbon cements and SCMs, Heidelberg Materials, is one of the world's largest integrated manufacturers of building materials and solutions with leading market positions in cement, aggregates, and ready-mixed concrete. At the centre of Heidelberg Materials actions lies the responsibility for the environment. They are a front runner on the road to carbon neutrality and circular economy in the building materials industry, working on intelligent and sustainable building materials as well as solutions for the future.

As part of the Carbon4Minerals project, they will be developing and upscaling a carbonation clinker from secondary raw materials, developing and upscaling mechanical activation technology, and CO2 beneficiation technology.
